Showcasing Miami CRE to Latin American Investors In Argentina

In a few weeks, I will be traveling to Argentina to present CRE investment opportunities to Latin American investors attending one of the region’s largest real estate expos. At the Expo Real Estate Argentina 2016, I will present a workshop discussing investment in the South Florida commercial real estate market and showcase my listings. The Expo, where Marcus & Millichap will have a booth, and the workshops are part of the 8th Congress of Real Estate Development and Investment (8º Congreso de Desarrollos e Inversiones Inmobiliarias) at the Hilton Hotel Buenos Aires. This is a great time to promote income-producing properties in Latin America, as deep-pocket foreign investors are turning their attention from residential condos to cash-flowing assets in Miami. Their attention has shifted to CRE for several reasons. First, returns from properties that generate cash flow can range from 5% to 8%. Second, foreign buyers can borrow up to 60% of the purchase price, unlike when buying pre-construction condos. The third factor is the desire to diversify their investment portfolios geographically. In the past 10 years, Miami has not only recovered remarkably from one of the worst recessions in the history of the United States, but has re-emerged as a city of global appeal that attracts capital from Latin America, Asia and Europe.
